In April 2010, a group from WHS classes of 73 and 72, including friends and family, took a cruise to Freeport Grand BahamasĀ and Nassau Bahamas aboard Carnival Cruiseline’s ship “Sensation”. We enjoyed quite a variety of things – crazy weather, wonderful on-board entertainment, fun shore excursions, and great leisurely activities aboard ship. We even had some winners at the gambling venue on board.
Prior to setting sail the Bahamas on Sunday April 18, 2010, most people spent the weekend enjoying the many activities around Orlando, FL. On Saturday evening, everyone present went to Downtown Disney for dinner and some of the attractions. Dinner at Parasido 37 allowed everyone to get reacquainted and enjoy a few drinks and a great dinner.
On Sunday morning, we headed to Port Canaveral where the ship was docked. We boarded just in time to enjoy lunch before headingĀ for the veranda deck to enjoy some of the wonderful sun. For those who didn’t want to get too much sun on the first day out, they were able to take a tour of the ship to see what there was to enjoy. By the time we settled in and our luggage arrived to our cabins, it was time to meet up again and go eat (so what else is new). The formal dining arrangement were great and everyone from the group was able to sit in the same area.
Some of the photos from the cruise can be found on the following pages. One of the special things is that at various times throughout the day the cabin attendant would leave the towels on the bed in the shape of various characters. As silly as it may sound, we have photos of many of these characters on the following link Cabin Characters.
